ROCKLIN, Calif. – Eric Sage and Jeremy Beaumont of Auburn have been awarded scholarships to William Jessup University.

Sage, a graduate of Forest Lake Christian School, was the recipient of the 2008 Mildred and Earl Rogers Scholarship and received $2,550 for his commitment to ministry.

Beaumont received the 2008 Boyce-Morrison Scholarship in the amount of $500 and was recognized by William Jessup University as an outstanding student who exhibits Christian character and leadership ability. He graduated from Horizon Instructional Systems in Lincoln.

Another graduate from Horizon Instructional Systems, Jennifer Washman of Meadow Vista received a $1,100 scholarship. Washman, was the recipient of the 2008 Craig-Milby Memorial Scholarship, given to a gifted student of highest character.

Founded in 1939 by William Jessup, the University moved to Rocklin, California, in August 2004. WJU is the first and only WASC accredited private four-year university to have its main campus located in the greater Sacramento area, offering degrees in many different disciplines, including Business Administration, Christian Education, English, History (Fall 2008), Intercultural Studies, Liberal Studies (Teacher Education), Music, Pastoral Ministry, Psychology, Public Policy and Youth Ministry.
