Rocklin City Workers Want Change
|
The Rocklin City Council voted to cap health care bennifits for city clerical, park workers and day care teachers. Approximately 100 city workers came out on Saturday to protest this decision by the Rocklin City council during Rocklin Community Service Day. Some city workers will have a reduction of $300.00 from their paycheck due to this decision. Police and Firemen also had their health care capped but were given an increase to offset this reduction in bennifits.

Has anyone checked to see if the people at the top have the same cuts? What about the city manager? How much of a cutback does he incur? What about the city attorney? His salary is very, very high I'm told. And what about the city hiring the numerous consultants they do - from public relations people to outside legal consulting. If I were a city employee who had these cuts, I would be upset.
There appears to be 100 or so city workers and this seems to be a pretty good size staff. It would have been better to reduce the number of workers and ask for more productivity from the remaining ones. When we hear reports of productivity increases on the news...what this means is that workers are making or producing the same amount or more products for less money and or lower wages. The Fed sees this as a good sign and so does Wall Street...I see this as "how to take advantage" of the American worker and the American family to the benefit of Wall Street investors...who are now paying the price. All governments, federal, state and local are now in deep trouble financially and all government workers will need to give back pay or be let go.........always start at the top and work your way down...this is only fair... since it is those at the top that make the decisions on how money was and is being spent.
Medical costs have now been a major scam for the entire country for the past decade or so. Increases in these costs have not been justified and these skyrocketing costs have held back wages and pay scales due to the "in the background hidden approach" taken by insurance companies taxing agencies. Employers have had to absorb most of these outrageous cost increases while attempting to operate their business and the employees are clueless to the corruption behind the scenes and the strain on the companies and their earned wages. If you thought the Government and Wall Street were corrupt.......just take a look at the medical industry...you will be twice as shocked! Workman Compensation is the most corrupt of them all and workers are clueless to the actual costs to the employers and are now or soon will be wondering why they do not have a job. The State of California collects state income tax on these wages...this fact does not make this a separate non=governmental program...what this does is guarantees the states tax income and therefore why the corruption is supported and allowed by the state.
Dark times are coming and these are great times to get involved with reform. You can change and cleanse the corrupt systems you allowed to flourish while you were to busy working sleeping and being distracted on purpose by those in power...so they could legally steal you blind. It is always during times of prosperity that the criminals know what is best and they are often in positions of power.
